POST-OFFICE NOTICES.

MAILS CLOSE. For Motueka, Westport, Greymouth, and Hokitika — per s.s.Murray, to-morrow, Saturday, at 1 p.m. For Greymouth, Hokitika ar.d the Australian ports — per s.s. Alhambra, this evening, at 8 o'clock. The next Mail will he dispatched from Nelson for the United Kingdom, via Suez, via Marseilles, and- via Brindisi (only specially addressed letters), for France, the travelling Post between Marseilles and Lyons, Gibraltar, Malta, the British, French, and Austrian Post Offices at Alexandria, Aden, Point de Galle, the General Post Offices in India, viz : — Bombay, Madras and Calcutta ; Penang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Yokohama, per s.s Alhambra, this evening, at 8 o'clock.

Tor Stoke, Richmond, Hope, Spring Grove, Wakefield, and Foxhill — Close at Chief Post Office daily at 2.30, p.m. ; arrive at Chief Post Ofiice daily, at 11 o'clock, a.m. For Appleby, Upper and Lower Moutere, Nga Timote, Motueka, and Riwaka — Close every Monday and Thursday, at 8.30, a.m.; arrive every Tuesday and Eriday, at 4 p.m. Also, for Motueka per steamer as opportunity offers. For Wakapuaka — Close every Wednesday and Saturday, at 2.30, p.m.; arrive every Wednesday and Saturday, at a.m. Note. — The postage of letters and papers for Honolulu and North America, is now the same as for the United Kingdom, viz , 6<L for letters, and ld. for papers. Notice. — The following is the rate of postage from this day : — Country letters posted at any office for delivery at any other office in the Colony 2d. per half ounce ; for delivery at the office where posted ld. per half ounce.
