Florence Nazione, the Prussian police have discovered that the French Government for the last twelvemonth has <bad a thoroughly organised corps of spies in Germany. The whole of the country was . divided into districts, each of which bad its inspector and its two sub•inspectors, who were in direct communU
cation with! a, <jiirector--general in Paris. Berlin, Hanibtirg. and Dresden were the head-quarters of the spies, part of whose duties consisted in establishing military and political relations with the malcontents in the annexed Provinces. The Prussian police have furnished to the Government at Berlin official proofs that France has been for a long time -preparing for this war, and only awaited a convenient pretext. . - - The desire of the public to obtain the Latest Intelligence from the Seat of War (says a home paper) has caused the manufacture of many lying telegrams, nearly doubled the circulation of the. cheap newspapers, both daily and weekly, and sent the newest of the London. moruirjg I journals into the streets with four or five editious daily. It. has also led (o the publication of two new illustrated papers, and two daily halfpenny papers.
