THE OLD AND NEW BAND.

To the Editor of the Nelson Evening Mail. Sir, — By a letter which appeared in your issue of last night, it appears that the feelings of " One of the Old Band " were hurt by tho paragraph in your issue of Friday last, in which the new band received a meed of praise. He wishes to" inform the public that the old band is not broken up ; but I, as one of thera, beg to state that such was the case, and further, that their property was offered for sale. The old band consisted of nine members, five of whom are members of the new band. I am, &c, Another of the Old Band. Nelson, Oct. 11, 1870.
