Winter Evening Entertainments. — We would remind our readers of the en* tertainment ..that is to take place this evening. A glance at the programme is sufficient to convince us that the evening's amusement will be quite equal to any of its predecessors. - Tarankki. — It appears that the correspondent of the Colonist whose letter appeared in that paper on Friday last, has exaggerated the state of things at Tarauaki, as the only information received by. the Government is to the effect that twenty Arawas had visited the Waikatos, their visit being paid without arms, and also with the permission of the Government. Titoko Waru was to be present at the great meeting at Pariaka, but in no hostile spirit.
