This is the land that Maui caught ; This is the Maori tliat sold the land and lived on the island that Maui caught ; This the settler who mortgaged the land that was sold by the Maori that lived on the island that Maui caught ; This is the mortgagee who assigned the land that was mortgaged by the settler and sold by the Maori, &c, &c. ; This is the merchant who liened the lard assigned by the mortgagse, and mortgaged by the settler aud sold, &c.; This is the Itoad Board that pawned the land that was liened by the merchant and assigned by the mortgagee, &c. ; This is the Province that hypothecated the land that was pawned by the Eoad Board, &c. ; This is the Colonial Treasurer that raised more money on the very same land hypothecated by the Province, &c, &c. ; This is the unfortunate capitalist Who lent his money To the General Government On the very same land , Hypothecated by the Province And pawned by the Road Board And liened by the merchant Assigned by the mortgagee And mortgaged by the settler And sold by the Maori Who lived on the island that Maui caught. This the rope that &c, &c, ad lib .
