The Anchor Line (Messrs. N. Edwards & Co.) p.s. Charles Edward arrived at the Albion Wharf at 7 o'clock on Saturday evening, from the West Coast. Captain Holmes reports leaving here on 20th instant, at 3 p.m. Encountered strong S.W. gale and heavy sea against which she had to steam the whole way down. Arrived off the Buller at 7 p.m. on Sunday, and crossed the bar at daybreak on Monday. Left at 6 p.m., arriving at Hokitika early on Tuesday, aud leaving the following morning reaching the Grey the same tide. Left Greymouth on Frii'ay morning arrived at Westport at 8 p.m., leaving again three hours afterwards tor Nelson, where she arrived as above.
