James Edward Fitzgerald, Esq., formerly chief member of the Executive Government of New Zealand, and now Comptroller of the Colonial Exchequer in that colony, has been gazetted an Ordinary Member of the Third Class, or Companions of the Most Distiuguished Order of St Michael and St. George. New Zealand Loan. — In the House of Commons on Mny 20, in reply to MrSalt, Mr. Siansficll said it was proposed to raise, under an Imperial guarantee, the sum of £1,000,000, for the purposes of New Zealand. The Government were considering the terms of the guarantee,, aud he had no doubt that arrangements based on the principle of a sinking fund would be adopted. The Medal for service iv New Zealand has been presented to several of the non-commissioned officers and men of the Supply Branch of the Army service Corps, at Aldershott. Tlie medals were distributed by Capt. Milne. Honors for New Zealand. — The Queen has been graciously pleased to approve of the words "New Zealand" beiug borne on tlie colors of the following regiments, in commemoration of Iheir services in that country duriug the years 1845-6-7, 1860-1-2-3-4-5-6 :— The 12th, 14th, 18th, 40th, 43rd, 50th, s'7th, 58th, 65th, 68th, 70th, 96th, and 99th Foot.
