The Anchor Line (Messrs N. Edwards & Co) p.s. Charles Edward arrived at the Albion Wharf this morning at 11 o'clock. Capt. Holmes reports leaving here on Saturday the 6th inst at 11.45 p.m., deeply laden with coals and malt, for Wanganui; arrived there on Sunday afternoon, but owing to the continued heavy rain which rose the river so much as to prevent loading uatil Friday , when she s ailed at noon with a full cargo of cattle and sheep for Westport; experienced strong head winds and heavy sea across, and arrived off the Buller at 6 p.m. on Saturday-, discharged her stock and left for Greymouth on Sunday afternoon,"reaching that port at midnight; took in a full cargo of coals for Westport, leaving at 2 p.m. on Tuesday arriving at Westport the same night; left Westport yesterday at 3.30 p.m, for Nelson arriving as above. The Charles Edward leaves again to-morrow for the West Coast ports.
