Supreme Court. — The prisoners Morris, Woolf, aud Curtayne, who were yesterday placed on their trial for blowiug up the eDgine of the Southern Cross Company, at Charleston, were acquitted, after an hour and a half's deliberation on the part of the jury. John White, who was found guilty on a charge of perjury on Tuesday last, but in whose favor a legal point had been raised hy his counsel, was this morning brought up, and sentenced to six months imprisonment. Mr. Cotterell's Entertainment. — Mr. Cotterell, who gives another entertainment this eveuing, has hardly done justice to himself in his published programme, wherein he is advertised to perform in his old characters, for although he comes on to the stage under the same names, and in the same dresses as on former occasions, he has so much to say that is entirely fresh to his audience, that the entertainment possesses almost as raauy novelties as if it were entirely new. Mr. Cotterell appears in one or two characters that were not exhibited on his first appearance in public, and we must say that each new item in his programme is most complete success. If any of our readers should be sceptical on this point let them go to night and judge for themselves. Culliford Company. — A somewhat thinly attended meeting of the shareholders took place at the Assembly Room last night, Dr. Williams in the chair. The report of the directors was read, in which it was stated that Mr. Thompson had been sent up to the reef to report as to machinery, and that on his return he stated that there was an excellent site and plenty of water power, but that, owing to the state of the roads he could not recommend the directors to send for a large battery for at least two or three months.
