Thes.s. Kangitoto left Hobson's Bay at 2 p.m. on July 21; cleared the heads at 4.40 p.m. and Kent's Group next day at noon, ■with a strong gale blowing from the S.S.E., with heavy sea, which lasted for 3 days; afterwards light S.E, and S.S.E. winds until arrival at Hokitika at 11.30 on August 27. Left again at 4 p.m. same day, and arrived off Greymouth at 6 p.m.; left Greymouth at 11 a.m. nest day, and experienced strong head winds until arriving in Nelson at 10 o'clock this morning. The Eangitoto passed the Company's steamer Tararua in Hobson's Bay, and the Claud Hamilton on the morning of the 25th in latitude 40.53 S., and longitude 161 E.
