The s.s. Kennedy, Captain Whitwell, arrived from the West Coast ports at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday. She left Nelson on Sunday the 17th inst. at 2 a.m., and arrived at Westport at midnight. Discharged about 20 tons cargo on Monday, and sailed for Hokitika at 2 a.m. on Tuesday, and arrived outside the bar at 11 same morning ; crossed at 2 p.m., and landed 25 tons cargo. On Wednesday she landed the balance of cargo, 46 tons, and sailed at 4 p.m. for Greymouth, where she arrived at 6 p.m., but, owing to the shallowness of the bar, did not get in till 5 o'clock the following morning. Discharged a small general cargo, and 90 sheep ; took in 3000 feet of timber for Westport, and sailed again at 4 p.m. Called at Fox's at 8 a.m., and arrived alongside Buller wharf at 4 a.m. on Friday; left at 4 o'clock the same afternoon for Nelson, arriving as above. Wehave been favored by Mr. Willcocks with some late West Coast files.
