Hongkarium Question. — A long and rather amusing discussion says the Post, took place on Mr. J. C. Wilson's annual motion, to discontinue the honorarium to members. On this occasion be proposed that it should cease at the end of the present session. In his speech, he stated that if all the members attended during an average session, the honorarium would amount to £12,300, which represented the interest -on £307,000. Mr. Reynolds moved an amendment to limit the honora rium to £50 per session, deducting £1 per diem for every day a member was absent during a session from any cause except illness. Neither Mr. Reynolds or Mr. Wilson found many supporters. Mr. Reynolds' amendment was. negatived on the voices, and Mr. Wilson demanded a division on the original resolution. It was rejected by 28 to 5. ,-V-To, those about to marry— Look oufc for squalls.
