Sir, — There are few public offices that do riot require the spur of public notice »Dd supervision, in order to keep them braced up to a proper state of efficiency ; ai'nd for this reason I write to ask why a Registered letter, containing a draft for over £500, addressed . in round hand to " W. A. B. Adams, care of Messrs. Adams and Kjngdon, Nelson, New Zealand," ■which arrived by the last English Mail, and actually bears the Nelson post mark of May 27, was not delivered till this afternoon, too late for me to forward a reply to-morrow from my client in the Wairaeas.
