MAILS CLOSE

Eor the United Kingdom, the West Indies, the Continents of America, and Europe, &c, via San Francisco. — Per contract steamer AJredale, on Wednesday, 30th instant.

TiiE first homo mail via San Francisco is notified to close at Nelson on the 30th inst. In future all correspondence for the United Kingdom, &c., will be forwarded via San Francisco, unless specially endorsed via Suez. The rates of postage on correspondence for the United Kingdom via San Francisco will be similar to those charged via Suez and Southampton, viz :— Gd per half-ounce letter; newspapers, id each.
