Another Dividend of £10 per scrip, has lately been paid in the G-olden Crown Company. A purse containing twenty-five guineas was presented to Father M'Eutagart on Friday last, at Mullaney's Hotel, Stafford, by a number of the rev. gentleman's friends, previous to His departure for home. About a score of individuals who had ; been in ihe habit of absenting themselves from militia df ill, were brought before the ■ Resident Magistrate, at Wellington, the other day, and fined 10s. each and costs. : ■A young man' named Frank Morphy, who has lately been holding the appointment of assistant bailiff in the Resident Magistrate's Court, Hokitika, has been arrested on a charge of embezzling the sum of £40.
