MAILS CLOSE. For Westport, Greymouth, and Hokitika — per s.s • Murray, at 11 a.m., to-morrow. For the United Kingdom, the West Indies, the Continents of America, and Europe, &c, via San Francisco. — Per contract steamer Airedale, onWednesday, 30th instant. The first home mail via San Francisco is notified to close at Nelson on the 30th inst. In fixture all correspondence for the United Kingdom, &c, vrill be forwarded via San Francisco, unless specially endorsed via Suez. The rates of postage on correspondence for the United Kingdom via San Frandsco will be similar to those charged via Suez and Southampton, viz : — 6d per half-ounce letter; newspapers, Id each.
