Thirty of the inhabitants of Coromandel have sent a challenge to the men of the Thames for a match of football, against fin equal number of the inhabitants of this place for a sum of £100 a side. More Murders by Te Kooti. — From a telegram in this morning's Colonist, we learn that Te Kooti had made an attack on Opapi, where he captured a large number of natives. Some women who escaped report that he butchered about 30 women and children, snd a son of an Arawa chief and that he took off the younger women with him. He is said to have a considerable force with him. Kemp and Topia are said to be in pursuit of him. The same telegram reports tho death of Colonel Frazer at Tauranga.
