IRELAND.
Dublin, January 6. Irish journals report that during the Parliamentary election in Longford, which was bitterly contested, and attended with great excitement, the supporters of Martin, the Fenian candidate, and those of Nugent had a sharp fight. The troops appeared and fired upon the Fenians, who quickly dispersed. A few men were wounded, but none killed.
