Provincial Executive. — We learn with much pleasure that seats in the Executive have been offered to, aud accepted by, Mr. Kynnersley, and Mr. Arthur Collins. These appointments will, we are sure, give the greatest satisfaction both to the residents on the South-west Goldfields, where Mr. Kynnersly is well and favorably known, and also to those at Collingwood, who have already shown the confidence they possess in Mr. Collins by electing him. as their representative in the General Assembly. Licensing- Meeting. — A meeting of Justices was held at the Court-house this morning for the purpose of granting and transferring licenses. James Thomson applied for a transfer of the license, held by John Tregea, for the Wakatu Hotel, but not having complied with the necessary conditions by producing the license already held by him for the Victoria Hotel, his application was refused. Bottle licenses were granted to Henry Hounsell, for the Post-office Wine and Spirit Store in Bridge-street, aud to Daniel Talbot, for the Sportsman's Arms, at Motueka.
