Woodroffe' Glass Blowers. —We have already recommended our readers, on the faith of the reports published iv other parts of the colony, to pay a visit to the glassblowers, and we now do so on our owu responsibility — and in, consequence of the pleasure we personally have derived from witnessing this interesting exhibition. We shall not attempt to give auy description of the delicate and skilful maimer in which Mr. and Mrs. Woodroffe ply their wit, but will merely state that the marvellous celerity and exactness with which they turn out their various specimens of glass w r ork, such as wineglasses, decanters, and various other articles both useful aud ornamental, are something marvellous, and must be seen to be believed. The two steam engiues " the Excelsior," and the "Australasia," both made entirely of glass, aud in full work, one of them driving a miniature quartzcrushiug battery, consisting of eight head of stampers, also of glass, and the other working a force pump and driviug the water through tiny fountains, are alone worth going to see, and we hope that none of our inhabitants will alloYY the opportunity to slip of witnessing an exhibition than which nothing more beautiful or instructive has ever yet beeu seen in Nelson.
