The Matoaka. — It appears that the telegram, statiug that the Matoaka had arrived in London was, as suspected at the time, incorrect, and that the uufortunate ship has been given up for lost. The following paragraph is from the Australasian of 19th February: — The ship Matoaka has been posted at Lloyd's as a missing ship, and a notification issued by the committee for the underwriters to settle on her loss. She sailed from Lyttelton on the 12th May for London with a cargo of wool and general merchandise, about 60 passengers, and specie to the of £50,000, and was never heard of afterwards. The general belief is that she was wrecked in the ice.
