His Honor, in allowing the little girl to % be examined, remarked that he must ex- '3 press his regret that he was not allowed 5 to let her evidence </o to the jury without "'• going through the solemn mockery of ad- v ministering au oath to a child of her years. A verdict of Not Guilty was returned. This terminated the criminal sittings. £
