CORRESPONDENCE.
o *»* We are desirous of affording eveiy reasonable facility for the discussion of public subjects; but it must be understood that we are in noway responsible for the opinions expressed by correspondents. To the Editor of the Nelson Evening- Mail. Sir — In the Colonist leader of tLe Ilth inst. I read — " Surely the last card of the obstructives is now played." I opine by ths " obstructives" is meant the land purchasers, but for the life of me I cannot imagine what is meant by their playing their last card ; although one of them, I did not know that they had been moving in tbe matter at all, save just to -watch the proceedings of those who are endeavoring to defraud them of their purchased rights. So far as I know they are only just playing their first card. I ara, &c, Faie Play and no Favor.
