Messrs. N. Edwards and Co's. steamer Charles ""Edward arrived at the Albion Wharf at 10 on Sunday morning. Captain Holmes reports leaving here last Monday at 1 p.m., stronsr S.W. gale prevented him rounding the Sandspit that night, so dropped anchor off Bush End. Left next day, and arrived at Westport at 9 a.m. on Wednesday; discharged 40 tons cargo,leaving at midnight, and reached Hokitika at 10 next morn'ing; landed 30 tons cargo, crossed the bar at midnight, and arrived at Greymouth same tide ; discharged 40 tons cargo, taking in 60 tons coal. leaving at midnight and arriving off the Buller early next morning. Left Westport at 3 p.m. with 40 passengers, arriving as above.
