In consequence of the yacht Red Jacket's arrival to compete for the Challenge Cup, the Regatta is unavoidably compelled to be held before the departure of the Lord Ashley, as the Red Jacket leaves by that boat. The following is the proposed programme — 11 a.m. Waterman's Race : Two oars ; 3 miles 12 noon, Open Sailing Boats : 4 miles 1 p.m. Coasters : 8 miles. 2 p.m. Yachts (for Cup): 8 miles 3 p.m. Whaleboats : Five oars ; 5 miles 4 p.m. Amateur Whaleboats : Five oars ; 4 miles 4.30 p.m. Bots' Race : 1$ miles 5 p.m. Dingt Race : IA miles 5.30 p.m. Amateurs' Two-oared Race : 2 miles Duck Hunt.
