"VTOTICE.— The following Clause of "The JJN Scab Act Amendment Act, 1869," is published for general information :— " Every owner of sheep shall, in the month of January in each year, make a return to the Chief Inspector, of the number of Sbeep in his charge in the Province of Nelson, on the First day of January, m such year ; and shall, in the month of February in each year, pay, or cause to be paid to the Treasurer ofthe Proviace. a sum of money at the rate of Three Shillings per Hundred for all sheep in . bis charge upon the Ist day of January in such year ; and in default thereof the same may be sued for in the name of any Inspector, and the proof of the number of sheep in his charge shall rest with tbe defendant" FRANK NAIRN, !
