Messhs.. N. Edwards and Co.'s p.s. Charles Edward arrived at the Albion wharf this morning at 4 o'clock, from Lyttelton and Dunedin. Captain Holmes reports Jeaviug here on the 27th u!t., at 3.30 p m., and reaching Port Chalmers at 4.30 p.m. on the 29th, after a finerun of 49 hours. Took in coal that nifcht, and went up to Dunedin early the next morning. Left again on Sunday at 6 a.m., and arrived at Lyttelton at 3 a.m. on Monday, having strong S.W. winds on her passage. Sailed the same day at 8 p.m. for Nelson, arriving as above. A strong N.W. gale, head aeas, and ebb tide, made it hard work to get through the Straits.
