Beath's, Pratt's, Sutherland's, and several other stores were burnt. The fire also caught Cashel House in the rear over the millinery reserve room and thestock in that portion Was much damaged by removal and water. No further particulars are known. Christ Church Organ. — It is with much pleasure that we are'euahled to state that the organ for Christ Church has been sent for by >the English Mail which left yesterday! There still remains a large sum, £100 at least, to be collected before the organ is erected in the church, but we -hope that the members of the congregation, • now that they see that the matter has been taken up in earnest, will come forward and liberally assist in the good work. ' Accident. — A serious acqdent occurred on. Saturday evening to Mr. R. Anderson of Happy Valley, caused by his horse stumbling at one of the watercourses on the Wakapuaka Road, . aud falling heavily on his rider. Dr Yickerman, who was immediately scut for, found, on arriving at. the , spot, that Mr. Anderson had broken his collarbone, and was also much bruised about the chest, but we are glad to hear that he is now progressing favorably; :•. ■: - •■'
