Messrs. N. Edwards and Co's steamer Charles Edward arrived here yesterday at 8 a.m. on her way to the Northern ports. Captain Holmes reports leaving Nelson on Tuesday last at 1 pm. and making a smart run toth^Bullerof 19 hours. Left there at 10 p.m. on Wednesday crossing Hokitika bar early the following morning reaching Grey mouth at midnight on Thursday; left at 11 pra. on Friday, calling at Brighton for passengers, and arrived at Westport at 9 a.m. on Saturday, leaving by the same tide for Nelson, with the Maid of Erin ia tow.
