IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1658," and also of the "Provincial Elections Act. 1858," I, Thomas Brunner, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Waimea-West, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a writ bearing date the 22nd day of September, 1869, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an ELECTION will be held for the RETURN of ONE qualified person to serve as MEMBER of the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL for the said Electoral District ; and that the NOMINATION of Candidates will take place at the Southern School-room, Waimea-West, on THURSDAY, the 11th day of November, at Noon ; and that the POLL (if necessary) will be taken on FRIDAY, the 19th day of November next.
