RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Before John Sha.kp, Esq.., R.M. This Day. Augustus Yelverton was charged with being drunk and disorderly last night. Prisoner having been charged with this offence more than three times within the ! last twelve mouths was sentenced to two months' imprisonment. William Hale, for allowing his chimney to take fire on Sunday last, was fined £1 and costs. Mrs. M'Donald for permitting four cows to be at large was fined ss. per head, and costs. W. Glass and H. Wilkes were charged with furious riding in the streets of Nelson. The former was fined £l and costs, and the latter 10s. and costs.
