The Nelson Evening Mail. FRIDAY, JUNE 11, 1869. DESTRUCTIVE FIRE AT GRETMOUTH.
LA.RGE AMOUNT OF PROPERTY DESTROYED. (By Electric Telegraph.) Wellington, 11th June, S'lo p.m. Tho Greymcuth correspondent of the Evening Post, telegraphs as follows: — A Destructive Fire broke out at Greymouth this morning at 3 o'clock. The fire commenced at Johnston's, Melbourne Hotel, -which together, with the following buildings were totally destroyed: — Bank of New South Wales, Union Bank of Australia, Bank of Australasia, Flannel's Hotel, the residence of Mr. Perkins, barrister, fhe premises of Mr, Trist, blacksmith, Mr. Badg-er, painter, Messrs. N. Edwards & Co's store, the shop of Mr. Broadbent, jeweller. [Unfortunately the line has broken down, and we are therefore unable to give further particulars, although v, r e have delayed going to press for half an honr.]
