'■ ' ' '■ ' ■ ■'ill Hunt's Claim. — We are informed that Mr. Hunt, the discoverer and principal shareholder in the far-famed " Hunt's Claim " at the Thames, has sold out for the handsome sum of £49,000. The following piece of "tall-talk" is from the Auckland Weekly Herald of the Bth uit. : — "A year or two, and Auckland will number amongst her citizens — thanks to the incredulity with which the richness of the Thames reefs was for a long time received elsewhere — more men of larger wealth than all the Australian colonies pat together can show; and when we take into account that only a patch of the actual goldfields at the Thames have as yet been opened to' European enterprise' who shall say what our future has not in store for vs — wealth, population, political freedom from Middle Island interference, and the first place in commerce amongst the Australasian colonies." .
