Volunteer Ball. — A. meeting of the ofhVers of Volunteers was held 3 ? esterday, for the purpose of taking the preliminary steps for holding a ball on Her Majesty's Birthday. We understand that th«se present were unanimously of opinion that this time-honored custom should not be allowed to drop, and a deputation was appointed to wait upon the Speaker, for the purpose of obtaining his permission to make use of the Provincial Flail.
