JKennedy, Commander, left Onehunga at noon on the : SOth April, and proceeded down the Manukau harbor, and at 2 p.m. anchored under Awitu signal flying at the pilot. station " bar dangerous. 5 ' At noon of the following day weighed anchor and crossed the bar, met with strong head winds to Taranaki, off which she. anchored at 7 a.m. on the 2nd May; -landed 6i-t<>its cargo, and at 4 p m. proceeded again, encountering strong south-west winds across the rStrait .with heavy head sea. A steamer was sten ten miles outside the Manukau, supposed to' be the Wanganui. The Bang-it ira arrived at Taranaki, fr.oni Wellington and Wan • ganui. at 1.30 p m. yesterday.
