WHEREAS, by an Act of the Imperial Parliament, passed in the session holden in the 15th and 16tli years of the reign of her Majesty Queen Victoria, cap. ~2, intituled "An A.ct to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any province established by the said Act, by proclamation in the Government Gazette, to fix such place or places within the limits of the province, and such times for holding any Session of the Provincial Council as he may think fit, and from time to time, in manner aforesaid, to alter and vary such times and places as he may judge advisable and most consistent with general convenience: Now, therefore, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, in pursuance of the power and authority in me vested, do hereby proclaim and appoint that the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL of Nelson shall MEET at the Provincial Hall, Neison, on TUESDAY, the 27th day of April next, at 1 o'clock, p.m. Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Province of Nelson, this Twenty -third day of March, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
