A REMEDY FOR OUR FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES.
To the Editor op the Nelson Evening Mail. Sir — Is it not strange that amongst all the remedies recommended for the Provincial pecuniary difficulties, the re-estab-lishment of the once renowned Chamber of Commerce has not been proposed, more especially as mauy of the honorable members are still living in Nelson. This institution (for it was an institution in Super Robinson's time) would have this advantage over its predecessor — the perfect accord in principle with the present Superintendent. It would take up too much time to dilate on the operations of the old Chamber had such a pecuniary state occurred in Robinson's reign — especially with the acute accountant, the present Superintendent, at its head. Perhaps the hint will suffice. Yours, &c, A Taxpatek.
