I am assured by men of different parties of the existence of a general wish that 1 should take part in our Provincial aflkirs. Should you confirm this opinion by placing me in the Council, I shall endeavor to justify your vote by discharging the duties of the post to the best of my ability. I shall not now enlarge on the Provincial policy which I should support if returned as 'tine of your Members, but at the Nomination 1 shall have an opportunity of doing so with as much fulness as you may desire. •I am, gentlemen, Your obedient servant, F.
