The Nelson Evening Mail. WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4, 1868. LATEST FROM THE FRONT.
The following telegram from Wellington was pubhshed this morning by the Examiner : — Tito Kowaru has advanced on Waitotara, -aud has been joined by all the Waitotara natives. The rebels are betweeu Wanganui aud j Patea, and uumber altogether 600 Maoris. The Armed Constabulary men from the j North are magnificent fellows, and leave for Wnnganui to-night.
