TELEGRAPHIC INTELLIGENCE. Wellington, March 30. 2.49 p.m. The Gothenburg-, has arrived from Melbourne, with intelligence to the 24th instant. The Duke's wound is healing fast ; he .has visited the Galatea. It is reported that he will not visit New Zealand, but return home by Torres Straits. O-Fiirrell persists that he received instructions from home to kill the Prince. Mr. Aspinall has been retained for his defence. The Protestant Hall rioters afe Melbourne, who had been acquitted on the capital charge, were re-arrested on a charge of doing grievous bodily harm. The Victoria St. Legcr Stakes at Melbourne were won by Fireworks, Kingfisher being second; the Australian Cup .by Shenandoah, Snip secoud ; Fireworks was scratched.
