The Proviucial Government Gazette of Wednesday last, contains notifications of the insolvency of Jame3 Henelly and Robert Millen, merchants of Westport, and of William Strachan, farmer, of Picton. The Grey River Argus 3ays that tho greatest excitement prevailed in Greymouth after the first account of the attempt upon the Pri u ee's life was received, and the intensest general indignation Avas felt by all classes. On the receipt of the second telegram, announcing the Prince's safety, the facts were communicated to the audience at the theatre, and the announcement was received with loud and protracted cheers, and everyone experienced a feeling of thankfulness that cannot easily be described. The columns ofthe Dunedin papers are filled with letters on the subject of Sabbath observance,, and the Pcesbyteiy of the Province have memoralised the Government to iutroduce a.
