EESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT. Wednesday, March 18. (Before J. Poynter, Esq., K-M.) Vickerman v. W. A. White. — This was an action to recover £19 Os. 6d. for medical attendance oil defendant's wife. Judgment for the amount with costs. Jameß Tingle v. E. J. Brock. — Action to recover £1 for goods supplied. Judgment by default forthe amount claimed, with costs. N. Edwards & Co. v. R. Aitken.— Action to recover £85 Bs. 4d. on three bills of exchauge. Judgment for amount with costs. J. J. Hornby v. E. Newland. — Action to recover £5 10s. 6d., balance due on account of a cow purchased by defendant at auction, and resold by plaintiff at defendant's risk. Judgment for amount with costs. J. M. Merringtou & Co. v. M. L. Marks. — Action to recover £2 12s. 6d. for goods supplied. Judgment for amount with costs. G-arrard and Bullard v. Jennings — Judgment was given to-day in this case, which was heard ou Monday last, for the plaintiff for £40 12s. with costs. A. M'Artney v. W. H. M'Cabe— -This case, an action to recover 10s. for horse hire, was partly heard and adjourned till to-morrow. Maria Parker complained against her husband, John Parker, for an assault committed on her yesterday morning. The assault was admitted, aud being of a very violent character, the Magistrate ordered the prisoner to enter into recognisances, himself in £30, aud two sureties in £20 each, to keep the peace towards the complainant for the next 12 mouths.
