Wednesday, Feb. 3. (Before J. Poynter, Esc^., R.M.) Bonnington v. Pain and Southworth. — Action to recover £17 15s. 6d. Defendants did not appear. Judgment for the ! amount claimed, with- costs. Lockhart v. Murdock, and Moore v. Jeffries. — These two cases were adjourned for a week. Thomas Fern, shoemaker, was charged on the complaint of Sylvester Nellis, "with indecently assaulting his daughter, aged 10 years, on Tuesday last. Evidence was taken at considerable length, and his Worship being of opinion that the criminal offence had not been fully proved, convicted the prisoner of a commoa assault, and sentenced him to two months' imprisonment with hard labor.
