Hackney Carriages plying for hire in the City of t Nelson shall starxi for hire at such places only as the Board of Works shall fiom time to lime appoint far that purpose hy aotice in the Govern* nient Gazette, and in some newspaper published in the said city. Carriages shall take their stations on the stands in the order of their arrival, and when any car* riage shall be called or driven off any stand, the carriage iainndia:ely behind shall draw up to thd pluce vacated, and any other carriage behind in like order. « No carriage or horse shall stani so as to obstfucfe the foot-path or crossing-place. Any person committing a breach of these by* laws shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding 40 shillings. The following places shall be STANDS For" Hackney Carriages plying for hire.-— I 1. The centre part of Trafalgar-street, north ot Bridge-street. 2. The centre part of collingwood-stree't, north of Bridge-street. 3. The west side of the road at the Port, be* tween the Government Wharf and the Al* bion Hotel. 4» The west side of the Haven road> between the Custom-house and the Panama Company's offices, for the heavy goods car* riages, such stand to be three feet from the curb-stone or water-table. 120 GEEAT SALE of SADDLERY, HARNESS, &c.j OF EVERY DESCRIPTION.
