The Marlborough Express of 27th uit. has the following: — Our readers will be interested to learn that the clipper ship Cissy has been engaged for the first ship this season from Port Underwood, and is to sail not later than the first week in January, in order to ensure as much as possible her arrival in good time. Edwards & Co. are making great preparations in readiness for the season, having lately removed their iron store to a site in the rear of their warehouse, and are erecting a; much larger one in addition, capable of holding 1500 bales, while all their stores are beiug placed in a much more elevated position in order to prevent a repetition of the accident of Janunry last. We believe that that it is more than likely that the quantity of wool to be shipped from Blenheim this year wiil be quite equal to, if it does not exceed, former years. 7 Ifc' : is rumored thafc Sir G-eorge Bowen, Governor of Queensland, will replace Sir Henry Barkly at the Mauritius, and thafc the latter will be transferred to Sydney, in' room of Sir John Young.
