THE NEW JUDGE AND BANKRUPTS. To the Editor of the Nelson Evening Mail. Sir — Your remarks on the new Judge have given general satisfaction. In future persons will not slip to facilely " through the Court" as in former times. Thus the honest though unfortunate trader will be protected, whilst the unscrupulous one will have to undergo an ordeal which he will not like to repeat. The reading of the observations of the Judge in Court will bring to the mind of most leaders some recent cases which, in the opinion of the public, ought to have met with a different result. Yours, etc., J ustitia.
