The Otago Daiiy Tirr.es states that the Provincial Government have decided to send home direct to England for salmon ova, as also for a competent man to 'superintend the experiment of successfu Ily establishing them in some river in the province. It is supposed that the raaia shipment vill be made by the Great Britain, but that other shipments should also be made by Messrs. Patrick Henderson and Co.'s clipper vessels, supposing, as there can be no doubt, the captains •will undertake chargo of the same — pay- - ment to bo made by bonus "dependent on the ova being safely landed. Iv respect to trout, the Government are willing to leave the experiment in the hands of the Acclimatisation Society, and to offer a .bonus of £250, to be paid on the fish being successfully acclimatised in the province.
