NELSON BOARD OF WORKS.
Friday, April 26.
Present — Messrs. Burn, in the chair, Carter, Wright, aud Bentley. The minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed.
An application from Messrs. Moore and Conway, for permission to erect a verandah, in front of Captain Johnson's property, in Trafalgar-street, was read. Granted on condition of carrying out the verandah like those of the adjacent build-
ings,
An application was received, signed by Messrs. Barraclough, Campbell, Nalder, &c, for leave to erect a lamp at the juncture of Hardy and Alton Streets.
A motion, in relation to this application, was made, to the effect that the Board was not in a position at the present moment to comply with their request.
Mr. Barraclough made an application to have the footpath in front of the Public Baths in Hardy-street put in complete repair. It was stated that this had already partly been done, and that it would be finished as soon as possible.
The Surveyor was ordered to procure a level, Avith the necessary apparatus for the survey of different sites in connection with the sewerage of the city.
The Board then adjourned until Friday the 10 th of May.
