IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled " The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858," and of " The Provincial Elections Act, 1858," I, John Sharp, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the City of Nelson, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ bearing date the 17th day' of April, 1867, issued under the hand of his Honor the Superintendent of the Province of Nelson, an ELECTION will be held for the Return of a qualified person to serve as a MEMBER of the PROVINCIAL COUNCIL for the said Electoral District, and the NOMINATION of Candidates will take place at the Provincial Hall, on MONDAY, the 29th day of April, 1867, at Noon ; and that the POLL, if necessary, will be taken on THURSDAY, the 2nd of May, 1867.
