Wellington, March, 15th. A horrible plot to assassinate the wardeis of Wellington gaol has been just brought to light. Some stupefying potion was introduced into the gaol and administered to the warders, in what way does not appear. Whilst they were in a state of insensibility they were overpowered, and shot down by their own arms, which had been previously taken from them. It was Tracker who gave ;the. information that prevented the escape of the prisoners. Riley the burglar, Young who broke into the Museum, and Angle under sentence for life, are the ringleaders in this atrocious conspiracy.
